Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team principal and CEO Toto Wolff, alongside race drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, visited the headquarters of title and technical partner PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur ahead of Formula 1’s return to Malaysia this weekend.

Deputy Team Principal Bradley Lord also joined the delegation for a series of activities at the PETRONAS campus, which the team described as celebrating “the innovation and collaboration that continues to drive performance on and off track.”

The group toured the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers, meeting employees and engaging directly with the research, innovation and technological operations that underpin the partnership. PETRONAS serves as both title and technical partner to the Mercedes F1 team, contributing fuel and lubricant development central to the team’s on-track performance.

The visit marks a symbolic moment as Formula 1 returns to Malaysia for the first time in years, with the Sepang International Circuit set to host a round of the world championship. The Mercedes team used the occasion to reinforce the significance of its relationship with the Malaysian state energy company, one it described as among the most successful partnerships in the sport’s history.

George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will carry the PETRONAS branding into competitive action this weekend as the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend gets underway.
