Mercedes-AMG F1 has launched a competition offering two fans the chance to win a Hot Lap experience at Silverstone during the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend, the team announced through its official channels.
The competition, which opened Thursday morning and runs until the following Thursday at 23:59 BST, gives United Kingdom residents the opportunity to experience the home of British motorsport from behind the scenes. Each of the two winners will receive entry for themselves and one guest to the British Grand Prix on Thursday, 2 July.
The prize package extends well beyond grandstand access. Winners will enjoy lunch in the Mercedes team hospitality area, a tour of the team garage, and a Hot Lap experience around the iconic Silverstone circuit. The Hot Lap itself is reserved for the winner only, while guests can enjoy the hospitality and garage tour. Travel to the circuit will be provided from the Mercedes factory in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
“We’re giving fans the chance to win a Silverstone Hot Lap experience during the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend,” the team stated in its official announcement.
The competition is restricted to residents of the United Kingdom, limiting eligibility to the team’s home fanbase ahead of what is traditionally one of the most well-attended races on the Formula 1 calendar. Silverstone has long served as a fortress of support for Mercedes, with the Brackley-based squad drawing enormous crowds at its home event.
Fans interested in entering have a one-week window to submit their entries before the competition closes. The British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone remains one of the marquee events on the 2026 F1 schedule, and experiences like garage tours and hot laps offer a rare glimpse into the operational side of a Formula 1 team that few supporters ever get to witness firsthand.
