Mercedes-AMG F1 heads into this week’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku holding more podiums than any other team at the street circuit, as Formula 1 prepares for the 10th edition of the event.
According to Mercedes, the Silver Arrows have accumulated the most podium finishes of any constructor at the Baku City Circuit. Mercedes power units have also delivered five victories at the venue — more than any other engine supplier in the race’s history.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has become a fixture on the Formula 1 calendar since its debut, earning a reputation for its distinctive layout that combines narrow, technical sections through the old city with one of the longest straights in the sport. That combination has consistently produced unpredictable racing and high-speed action.
The circuit’s unique character — tight corners giving way to a sweeping run along the Caspian Sea waterfront — places heavy demands on both car setup and driver skill, making it one of the more challenging venues on the calendar to optimize for.
With the milestone 10th running of the event now upon the sport, Mercedes arrives with a statistical edge over the field in Baku, though the team’s current competitive standing in the 2026 season will determine whether that historical advantage translates to results this weekend.
