Cadillac Formula 1 Team has unveiled a special stars and stripes livery for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, marking America’s 250th birthday as the race falls over the 4th of July weekend.

The patriotic design features the red, white and blue colours of the American flag along with stars and stripes iconography across both cars. The colour scheme will extend beyond the track, appearing on garage dressing, driver helmets and team kit throughout the weekend.

“The 4th of July weekend is a moment for us to show our continued pride in representing the United States on the global stage of F1,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team. “We want to use it as an opportunity to allow new communities to discover the sport and share our passion.”

The livery will also be displayed stateside in New Orleans at the Cadillac Formula 1 Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ at ESSENCE Fest, extending the team’s celebration beyond the Silverstone paddock. Cadillac joins McLaren and Williams in running a special livery for the British Grand Prix weekend.

On the competitive side, Team Principal Graeme Lowdon acknowledged the squad is working to bounce back after a difficult Austrian Grand Prix. “The Austrian Grand Prix was a challenge for us — but there is not one team in the pit lane that has not had similar days,” Lowdon said.

Lowdon expressed confidence that the upgrades introduced at Spielberg showed promise despite the tough result. “We have been working incredibly hard to rectify the issues. We have seen that the upgrades brought to Spielberg were positive, and our objective in Silverstone is to ensure that we have a clean weekend to maximise the performance potential we see,” he said.

“We appreciate it’s a big task — especially coming so soon after Austria — but we will take every opportunity to learn, move forward and continue our progress as a team,” Lowdon added.
